Training for care staff in Sheffield

Funding for eligible courses, qualifications and apprenticeships

Qualifications and training courses from April 2024 to March 2025

Your employer may be able to claim funding towards the cost of your qualifications and training courses started, and paid for, between 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 (inclusive).  This funding is towards listed training courses and qualifications.  

Funding is for non-regulated care staff, including deputy and Care Quality Commission registered managers and agency staff.  

To qualify, your employer must provide an adult social care service, directly employ staff and complete the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set.

Qualifications and training courses from April 2025 to March 2026

Your employer may be able to claim towards costs of eligible courses and qualifications from the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS). The LDSS is taking claims for eligible courses and qualifications paid for in 2025 to 2026, and in 2024 to 2025.
