What is the Care Professional Academy?
Log your training certificates and qualifications and gain access to exclusive rewards, discounts, cash back and benefits from the Care Professional Academy!
Upload your certificates and have them stored in one place as a training passport. Wherever you work in social care, it remains with you.
Who is it for?
The Training and Rewards Portal is offered to anyone who works in adult social care and lives or works in Sheffield.
From gardeners, cooks and laundry assistants through to care professionals, managers and nurses - this is available for free to everyone who contributes to Sheffield adult social care!
Benefits
The Care Professional Academy is a platform for Care Professionals to:
- Log training certificates and qualifications
- Receive discounts, savings and rewards across 800+ retailers including supermarkets, holidays, travel, restaurants, coffee shops, insurance, utilities, electronics, fitness, home and garden
- Training passport – use it to support your 1:1’s and Personal Development Plans, or to share with a new employer (so you don't have to repeat training!)
- Employee Assistance Programme.
The more training you log the more rewards you can access!
How to sign up/ register
When registering for the portal:
- 'In which county do you most regularly work?' Select South Yorks - Sheffield City Council.
- 'Are you currently employed?' Select your organisation from the list or click 'I can't find my organisation'.
Adding your certificates
Once your account has been activated, you can add your certificates by uploading them from any device, by taking a photo, scanning, or uploading a file.
Your certificates will then be validated by the Care Professional Academy, and they will let you know as soon as the certificate has been approved via email.
Personal Assistants
The Care Professional Academy is available for Personal Assistants (PAs).
To register, when prompted for your employment details, select the ‘Direct Employer for PA’s & DPH - HO All Counties’ option and then select the county you work or live in as the site option.
Adding your certificates
We know that you don’t always get a certificate for the training you have completed, as it is often carried out by family members, other staff or visiting professionals.
Please email contact@careprofessional.co.uk to arrange a certificate that can be uploaded to the portal.
