The Sheffield CARES Excellence Awards will be on 13 February 2025 at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.
Following the Sheffield Dignity Awards 2023, we are expanding our reach to recognise and celebrate Sheffield’s diverse and compassionate carers.
Working in partnership with people and organisations from across the sector, we will give our workforce (17,000+ workforce & 11,500+ unpaid carers) the recognition they deserve. We hope that this will be the first of many!
We want to hear from you, so that together we can shine the spotlight on some of the amazing people working in care who go above and beyond to enable the individuals they support to maintain the highest level of independence, dignity, choice and control.
Anyone can make a nomination, but nominees must reside in the city of Sheffield and have an active role in providing safe, high-quality care.
We will be awarding Care Excellence Awards across all parts of the care sector, focused around four different themes:
- Compassion in Care
- Inspiring Support or Leadership
- Respect & Inclusion
- Commitment to Care
We also have seven specialist awards:
- Personalised Support Award – Supporting People to Live the Life they want to live
- Dignity Award
- Sheffield Young Carers Award
- Newcomer / Apprentice of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Social Care Hero of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
